A side of ass and a prominent bulge aren’t the only things the Netflix super star bares in the latest issue of Gay Times.
The 34-year-old actor opens up about his sexuality, his outlook on labels and the insecurities he faced with the term queer.
In regards to his sexuality, Porowski says he’s “a little more fluid along the spectrum.”
“Some people want to define themselves, and they should as it’s part of their identity,” he says. “For me personally, I’ve never really had a label for myself. Today I’m gay, I’m in a gay relationship, and that’s where I am. That’s good enough for me.”
When it came to the show’s title, Porowski found himself feeling an unexpected way about the term queer. “When I first started telling people about the show, I would embarrassingly catch myself whispering ‘Queer’ as though ….I don’t know if I was embarrassed or I had some kind of shame, but it still felt taboo from childhood.”
However, those conflicting feelings of shame and embarrassment eventually turned into positive feelings of confidence and self-assurance. Porowski professes, “It’s kind of nice because now I say it really confidently. The more you immerse yourself in something, the less precious it gets.”
